Thank you, students

At South Anchorage High, students went all-in for a fundraiser in which rolls of duct tape were sold … to tape teachers to the wall!

Selected teachers stood on chairs during the taping, then chairs were whisked away to see who would stick to the wall the longest.

The real winner? Our neighbors in need. The event raised $778 for the Coalition to help people experiencing homelessness. While the school’s Activism Club — soon to become Community Club — led the event, student organizer Robbie Raychel said credit goes beyond the club. “This fundraiser was brought to life by all of South student body working together,” Robbie said.

Thank you, South High student body!
