Happy New Year, Alaska! Many of you will be applying for your PFD in coming days. If you donate through Pick.Click.Give., please consider the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness. We work with partners to build a strong, effective community-wide response to homelessness. We provide trainings, convene partners, develop strategies and offer technical assistance to ensure that housing and supports are tailored to individual needs. Pick.Click.Give. is the easiest way to share part, or all, of your PFD. How it works: https://pickclickgive.org/ #PickClickGive #HousingSolvesHomelessness

❄️We have one more day for Season of Warmth. We are so close!
👖Can you help out before 2025 ends? Here's how: https://www.aceh.org/season-of-warmth
Whatever you give makes a difference in safety and warmth for someone living outdoors in Alaska. (We buy in bulk!)
Thank you to all who have pitched in. Your care for your neighbors is appreciated.

Our community steps up! Thank you to all who have generously given to help our unsheltered neighbors stay safe and get warm. We are more than halfway to our goal of outfitting 100 people through our Season of Warmth campaign. These funds go directly for outdoor gear including coats, snow pants and winter boots. For just $10, you can provide a hat, gloves and handwarmers for someone. For $120, you can get a person outfitted head-to-toe. Make an impact this December. People ask us all the time: “So… what exactly does ACEH do?” Short answer: We’re the folks who work with partners to make the whole homelessness response system work smarter. Long answer: • We follow the data. We see the gaps. We help partners fill them — without stepping on each other’s toes. • We run Coordinated Entry and lead case conferencing to get the most vulnerable people housed first. • We’re out in the field meeting people where they are — and making sure we have updated information, key for housing. • Twice a week we open our doors for walk-ins — making sure their information is current and connecting them to services while providing snacks and warm gear. • We staff the Anchorage Continuum of Care, apply for collaborative communitywide federal grants, and lead big efforts like Project Homeless Connect and the Point-in-Time Count. Think of us as the backbone crew making sure Anchorage’s homelessness response is connected, coordinated and focused on solutions. Bottomline mission: Make homelessness rare, brief and one time. Even with additional emergency shelter beds activated this winter, Anchorage still doesn't have enough for everyone seeking shelter from the cold. Other options are filling in gaps. A season of gratitude for ... VOLUNTEERS! 💥We rely on volunteers to help us assemble snacks, hygiene basics and first aid essentials that our outreach team distributes to those sleeping outdoors. They also pitch in at big community events such as Project Homeless Connect. We are so grateful for their hard work, good attitudes and willingness to do whatever needed. 💙They even handmade hundreds of special cards to go into our seasonal snack packs! Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 23095, Northern Skies Federal Credit Union, Miss Alaska America Suparat Prasannet, Miss Midnight Sun Becca Sewell and other individuals for helping at our most recent volunteer event! Huge thank you to volunteers!💯 📢Stay connected! We will post our signup calendar for 2026 soon. Learn more about our work: https://www.aceh.org/ #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #SteppingUp
A project that started during the pandemic to help people leaving the Sullivan Arena mass shelter has grown into a community-wide fund to help our unsheltered neighbors in a variety of ways. The Good Neighbor Fund, officially launched in November with support of the Municipality of Anchorage, has amassed more than $112,500 in donations from 204 individuals as of Dec. 17.
