Your PFD can help unhoused neighbors!

One woman went from living in her car in a friend’s driveway to her own place. Another got her first apartment in years, a studio right next to her son, also newly housed.

There are hundreds of success stories like these right here in Anchorage as we work with our dedicated community and partners to provide safe housing for our neighbors.

Last year, more than 11,500 individuals in Anchorage received help through our community’s homelessness response system. For some, it meant finding emergency shelter. For others, it meant help with their monthly rent to avoid losing their homes. Some accepted socks, gloves and snacks from outreach teams.

And more than 1,600 people who had been experiencing homelessness got a home.

We are starting 2024 with great hope. Our Next Step pilot aims to help 150 individuals get housing by the end of April and will provide support so that they can stay housed.

Our belief is simple yet powerful. When people are supported in a place to call home, they can flourish and thrive in every aspect of their lives — from careers to relationships to physical and mental health.

We are incredibly grateful for people like you who are interested in helping us solve homelessness and generous with time and resources. As you consider your options for the 2024 Pick.Click.Give. campaign, please consider choosing the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness. Any amount will help. Join us in making a difference today.
